Regional Transfer Collaborative
This exciting program is for high school graduates. It encourages them in their move into the college world and offers preparation for the challenges there. It offers a head start for the four-year institutions through a series of linked courses that emphasize strong reading and writing skills. High school graduates are invited to participate in this program for the first-year experience requirements after taking an assessement test (G 32) and seeing Elizabeth Martinez in the Transfer Center (D 29) (also calling (310) 900-1600 x2760 to get more details). The program offers useful guidance for the first year as students work with a counselor knowledgeable of their first-year academic plan, students take a specific program of classes with tutorial assistance, and beyond the classroom, students have a cohert of peers as they become established in the first college year.
