Steps to Register
1. Apply for Admission and Obtain a Student ID Number
You will be provided a Student ID number and a registration appointment date two to three business days after you:
2. Take Assessment Test (English & Math)
You will need your Student ID number and a photo ID to take the assessment test.
3. Complete New Student Orientation (Obtain a Matriculation Activities Calendar)
Take your English and Math Assessment test scores with you to the New Student Orientation.
- Sign-up for New Student Orientation in the Counseling Department, located in the Administration Building or call (310) 900-1600, Ext. 2076.
4. Meet with a Counselor to Develop an Educational Plan
- Counseling Services are provided in the Administration Building. For an appointment call (310) 900-1600, Ext. 2076.
- If you are a returning or transfer student, please bring your transcripts or grade report to your meeting with a Counselor.
5. Apply for Financial Aid/Fee Waivers, EOP&S/CARE, Transfer Center, Special Resource Center, Cal-Works, VTEA/WIT, Veterans or any other program for which you may qualify.

6. Register for Classes on MyECC
You will need your Student ID. You can register:
- On-Line on any computer using MyECC; or
- In-Person at one of the student labs on campus.
7. Pay Your Fees:
- On-line on MyECC; or
- In Person in the Bursars Office (C-36), (310) 900-1600, Ext. 2104
8. Obtain your Student ID Card and Student Handbook from the Student Life Office
