
UC Irvine/ Compton Center Summer Transfer Institute
Description
The Regional Transfer Collaborative program is designed to increase the number of Compton Center Students that transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Since December 2004, the Compton Center's Regional Transfer Collaborative has engaged in a partnership with local 4-year universities for maximum long-term student success. Student participants are recruited from the local 9 high schools during their 12 grade year. Student cohort is enrolled in a "linked" curriculum and is closely monitored on a fast-track to transfer within 6-8 semesters.

Services
- Students will complete assessment of academic skills and will be provided with an Individualized Educational Program (IEP).
- Students receive access to support programs and services including EOP&S/CARE, and Student Support Services upon eligibility.
- Guaranteed or priority admission and transfer to some partnering institutions
- Opportunity to participate in Campus tours, RTC activities and UC Irvine's Summer Residential Program
